Product reviews for bikers and motorcyclists

Liquid Logic Remix 69
My old Pyranha Burn M provided good service for a nearly three seasons. However it was really begriming to show wear and leak due to cracks. I consulted with Woody Callaway and other friends before choosing my next boat.

Icon Urban Tank Bag
I have done some extensive testing with this item prior to writing this review. In the beginning I was not very impressed with the bags performance. The reason is the bag attaches with four magnets. If the bag is empty or lightly packed it tends to come loose and flap or slap in the wind. However with a proper heavy load the Icon Urban Tank Bag works well ... Full Review >>

Cold Weather Gear for Motorcyclists
I often get questions for curious non-riders and even bikers during the winter especially when I ride in the mountains. Recently I have gotten more inquires as to how I stay warm on long winter motorcycle trips beyond 100 or 200 miles. It is my hope this article will help others enjoy riding during the winter. The first key is layering. However what you layer is just as important ... Full Review >>

Combat Lites and Combat Touring Boots
The right boots can make a big difference in comfort on long trips. Aerostich Combat Touring Boots provide great comfort and protection while riding. I bought my first pair of Aerostich Combat Lites two years ago. They took quite a while to break end but are comfortable enough to hike several miles. Two years later the soles only have minimal wear as you can ... Full Review >>

2007 Harley Davidson Review
The opportunity to do this product review was not expected. My 2003 FLHT Electra Glide was found to need warranty work to replace much of the contents behind the cam cover after just over 103,000 miles of fun. While I've been waiting for parts Low Country Harley Davidson has provided some alternative transportation. The new extended ... Full Review >>

Tourmaster Elite Rainsuit
I love to ride my motorcycles so much so I do not own a cage. I noticed at a recent rally (2006 Helmet Law Rally) that many in attendance did not have adequate rain gear. I generally encounter rain at least once on my frequent out of state rides while logging 20,000 to 30,000 miles a year in the saddle. ... Full Review >>

GearWrench Ratcheting Wrench
I found that a standard 1/4" allen wrench will not fit where it is needed to remove the intake manifold from my 2003 FLHT. Fortunately Sears had a sale on Ball End Hex Keys. I visited my local Lowes and obtained a 3/8" GearWrench with Flex Head. Using my vise (grandpa's vise), my hacksaw, and a Starrett bi-metal hacksaw blade (32 teeth/inch KBS1232-2) ... Full Review >>

Wheels Through Time
Wheels Through Time entered a very nice vintage WLA in the bike show and the bike got quite a bit of exercise cruising the party; if you visit Maggie Valley make plans to visit the museum. Wheels Through Time is a consummate collection of over 250 rare antique American Motorcycles and Automobiles. Equally as astounding is the memorabilia collection that unites the "art of the motorcycle" with the generation of Americans that enjoyed a lifestyle peculiar to the "American Mainstream." ... Heritage Motorcycle Rally 2006
Kid Rock is headlined this year's Heritage Motorcycle Rally. Other groups such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cowboy Mouth, Foghat will also be playing at the rally. You can get $75 weekly passes for all the bands and events. The music acts alone would cost more than $75. I have already secured a couple tickets to make sure I got them before they sold out. Buy your advance tickets before the April 1st deadline. ... Full Review >>
