Dry Falls
Photos and article by FastFred Ruddock
Dry Falls is located just beyond Bridle Veil Falls in the Nantahala
National Forest on US-64. Dry Falls is about 3.5 miles west of Highlands and
16.5 miles east of Franklin. There is a small log shelter with information
and maps at the trailhead. The trail is short but descends a series of steps
to the base of this 75 foot waterfall. The trail to Dry Falls is not challenging
or difficult and it goes beneath and behind the falling water. You might get
damp depending on the level of water flow.
