SoLR TEA Party Motorcycle Rides, August 17 & 18, 2006Photos and article by FastFred Ruddock I had a nice scenic ride to the TEA Party. I found many civil war monuments along US Highway 11. One monument was erected to remember two members of the CSA killed by Yankee troops without trial days after the war ended. I also found a covered bridge nearby complete with signs warning motorcyclists to use caution. Friday morning at TEA I was awaken early to take a scenic ride Duck had planned to Seneca Rocks in the Monongahela National Forest. No one drank along this ride and all riders were experienced. However the group split in two with the more experienced riders taking on the twisties more aggressively while others took a more leisurely pace. The two group idea was planned in advance just as in earlier years. Rikki finally earned her nick name as she rode with Uncle Rock on this ride. Rikki also took several photos for me along this ride and at the TEA Party. |
