Helmet Law Rally and Columbia
Photos and article by FastFred, October 7-8, 2006
ABATE of South Carolina held a statewide business
meeting Saturday and ABATE's annual Helmet Law Support Rally.
ABATE supports South Carolina's current helmet law as currently
written. I also took a side trip to the Elmwood Cemetery
where ABATE of SC's Lexington chapter holds the annual Spooks
and Spokes Run; make plans to join the fun on Saturday October
28th.

Our Saturday meeting was producing and enjoyable
to most is not all present. Sunday over 200 motorcycles
took part in our parade to the statehouse despite rain.
Senator Jake Knotts address the bikers present; Jake told
the crowd "Team ABATE gets results." After a few
brief comments by the state coordinator the rally ended
and we rode to Bobbys. The Sun came out long enough for
the senator to get his bike too/
